To close out Espn's PTI today, Michael Wilbon declared Floyd Mayweather Jr. a coward because he isn't fighting Manny Pacquiao. Transitioning into Sportscenter, the host of that show even laughed at Wilbon's comment. Personally I believe the politics of boxing are complex, and that this situation isn't as simple as one man being affraid of the other. I'm sure most on NSB would agree. But I wonder how Floyd's fan feel about his public perception? It seems to those not in the know(casual sports fans) that Floyd might be affraid of Pacquiao. What does everyone think of Wilbon's comments?

For the last time
Wilbon =/= Public perception
Wilbon has not watched boxing in years and just hates on floyd for his comments about race
His comments just reeked of insecurity
Dan Lebetard was just laughing at wilbon calling a fighter a coward considering wilbons just a writer that sits on his ass all day.
Most of the people I met have floyd beating manny....unless they are Filipinos that watched no more than 3 manny fights and nothing elseLast edited by Bea5T; 08-12-2010, 05:34 PM.Comment
