floyd vs prime williams at 147. who would win

note that i put "prime" williams. i mean williams as a natural welterweight. i doubt he could reach 147 anymore. but say this fight was a couple years ago, when both were at welter. who would have won?

for me, it's floyd all the way. too smart for paul, even with the height differential taken into consideration. it's be a bit like floyd vs corrales again, but better, cause paul's got better skills than corrales.

I surely agree on this one. Although I think Paul is just a busier fighter not a harder puncher than Chico. Sergio landed flush shots and put him on his ass. Paul is far to easy to hit simple and plain. His offense covers up his lack of defense just like Pacman

      Floyd UD

But i think williams would make it close (just by outworking floyd in a few rounds)

I think this fight would be a huge mis-match. Ok Williams has a good workrate but you need alot more than that to beat a great boxer like Mayweather. Paul throws alot of wide punches and gives up his height aswell. I think Floyd would just time him over and over with the right hand and eventually knock him out in the middle to late rounds.

It will a special fighter to beat Mayweather if he ever gets beaten and no disrespect to Paul Williams but I don't know what all the fuss is about him. He's nothing special.

Paul Williams doesn't have the defense to look decent against Floyd's style. Only thing being bigger will do for him is make him an easier target.

Oscar was able to steal rounds away from Floyd since his perfect hand positioning made Floyd's potshots look like nothing.

Floyd takes it...makes Paul pay a lot for his spotty defense...

it will be a tough fight... just like kotelnik/devon. pwill will throw a lot of punches like devon. floyd will be a lot more accurate like kotelnik.

I think floyd would get the nod because he is the bigger name.

Southpaw stance, constant pressure - that`s the tools you need to beat Mayweather. Iron chin and incredible endurance - that what will keep Williams in the fight for the whole 12 rounds. I don`t bring up the reach advantage as Williams doesn`t fight "tall". Williams by decision... If that ever happened.
