Chavez Jr.'s "0" is gonna go. There is no way Cotto is going to lose this fight, one body shot from Cotto and Jr. is going be running. If he can't KO Troy Rowland, John Duddy or Matt Vanda, how the hell is he going to dent Cotto! Remember, Cotto lost two fights to Pacquaio and Margarito, can you imagine what those two would do to JC Jr.? Once this fight get's closer and Chavez doesn't pull out (which I could see happening), then I will be taking 2 to 1 bets...

Evferything; this is after all boxing. Your picking Chavez due to size not Boxing???

Originally posted by Dominicano Soy! View PostI was surprised at Chavez's improvement, especially in that little time. I will admit that Cotto did have a lot more left then I thought, but Yuri ain't much of a puncher and he ain't that durable. Actually I think I may have overestimated Yuri. However, Chavez at this point can only get better. I see Chavez takin' his shots while Cotto not being able to take his, especially as the rounds go by. The size is gonna play a huge role; Chavez will be considerably bigger fight night and unlike Foreman, Chavez Jr. will take advantage of what little Cotto has left.
First off this is boxing anything can happen. But you been around a long time and should know better. Chavez jr's handlers should know better, Roach should know better and Arum too. Likely this fight will be a brutal beating for Chavez and catapult Cotto into a possible fight with Mayweather or Pac II. Chavez is really, really rollin the dice here cause if he would win I imagine he is hoping to secure winner of Pac vs Marg = Pac.
But why is this an easy fight for Cotto.
#1 have you seen these two fight? Skill level way way apart.
#2 have you seen Chavez jr get down to 154 without diuretics recently?
#3 Chavez is obviously not committed to training or fighting and if he fights Cotto win or lose I imagine he will find out what he is or was made of.
#4 Chavez does not poses the offensive tools to beat Cotto. slow hand speed, bad defense, not a good jab, not a very good right and he likes to throw the left hook. Don't hook with a guy who has one the best in the biz. simply a horrible matchup for him.
Ths fight is blowout, I will bet all points if and when it happens. probably entertaining though short it will be.Last edited by freedom213; 08-13-2010, 05:46 PM.

What has Chavez ever done to get the attention he gets?? His publicity machine does the work. Never have I seen a fighter get more credit for doing nothing in the ring. He beats Duddy a potato farmer and thinks he can fight. Sad.
