Probably not, but if he fights top fighters like Lucian Bute or say Joe Calzaghe(he sells alot I believe, ashame hes retired) then he'll be fighting in-front of alot of ppl. I forget but I think Calzaghe has sold like 40,000-50,000 seats at places he has fought. And I think he even sold alot in the uk when he fought Peter Manfredo.

Dawson vs Tarver 1 sold 911 tickets at the Palms Casino in Las Vegas.

That first match is, you may have forgotten, the one in which the eye-popping lowly total of 911 tickets were sold, according to Nevada State Athletic Commission records.

Dawson vs Tarver II did 1,426 paid tickets at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas.

A spokesman working last Saturday's fight between Dawson and Antonio Tarver inside The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino said about 2,100 fans were on hand. That may be true, but we found out from the Nevada State Athletic Commission that the paid gate only generated $170,280.

To illustrate how bad that was, only 1,426 tickets were actually sold, with 1,309 going unsold. Those numbers are indisputable. And this was for a light heavyweight title fight.

As you can see he's not a very good draw, he drew under 5,000 in his home town against Johnson II.

here’s also this reason: as of now, Dawson doesn’t draw well anywhere, period. Even in his home state of Connecticut, where a disappointing crowd of less than 5,000 showed up last November for his rematch against Glen Johnson at the XL Center in Hartford.

A lot of that blame should go to Shaw, if the first Tarver fight did less then 1k ticket sales in Vegas why did the idiot make the rematch in the same city when there wasn't any demand for a rematch and the first fight bombed?

Shaw is a lazy ****, easier to take the Casino's site fee and sit on his ass while taking the Showtime TV money then the HBO tv money.

Dawson is a quiet personality. He does not talk big and treats his craft in a workmanlike manner. Right now he is not a big name, but getting fights with the likes of Pascal and some other fresh faces will make for exciting fights, so he will gain fans.

I respect guys like him. So many brash fighters out there who talk big but cannot deliver. He stays calm and focused and can deliver.

Pascal is a very exciting and quite often reckless fighter. He will get Chad to fight hard and open up. Both of these guys can deliver and it will be a good fight. I think Chad will win, but will have some scary moments. I just wish pascal was 100%. Taking a fight of this magnitude right after shoulder surgery is not going to be a positive thing.
