  • Bout smells of greed & corruption

This is my second time posting this. One of the moderators stated that when he see people posting food on threads like" JACK NAPIER and PING PING" thats his cue to freeze the thread.
I say why not supend the idiots posting food instead. Could it be because my post was against Pacman? who knows! What I do know is that they seem to side with Jack napier and Ping ping. If this thread gets deleted my question will be answered.

    Please read and comment intelligently.

BOUT SMELLS OF GREED & CORRUPTION

New York, NY- In the wake of a second round of failed negotiations with Floyd Mayweather Jr., Manny Pacquiao (51-3-2 38 KOs) appears set to face disgraced pugilist Antonio Margarito (38-6 27 KOs). At first glance this might seem like another great match up where the Pacman can continue to elevate his status as an all time great. But under further inspection, there are simply too many things wrong with this bout to ignore. Outside of the match up itself, there a strong putrid stench about this spectacle is tolerable to some fans but should equally turn others completely off. Here are a few reasons why:
    WHY FIGHT MARGA-CHEATO ANYWAY?

Besides being 5’11” (Pac turned down Yuri Foreman for having this height) and five inches taller than Manny, another thing puzzling about this match up is Margarito’s status in the sport. Margarito was stripped of his license in 2009 when he tried to use a plaster like substance in his hand wraps against Shane Mosley. Some in the boxing world believe that he should be banned for life for attempting such a nefarious act. Ironically, on the night Margarito faced Mosley, it appears that the phrase, ‘cheaters never win’ was appropriate as he lost his first bout by KO as Mosley routed him into submission. But now, that sentiment has been flipped on it’s head as Margarito has secured a fight with the most beloved boxer in the world despite not having a license or a venue that will allow him to perform due to his lack of licensing form California or more importantly, Nevada.

PAC CREATING YET “ANOTHER” WEIGHT CLASS

Am I the only one to find it very odd that Antonio Margarito and Manny will be fighting for a title? Neither fighter is ranked at the 154 lb division and Antonio just made a return to the division in his last fight (he spent the majority of career at welterweight). What makes this ‘title bout’ even more ludicrous is the fact that it will actually be fought for at a catch weight of 150 lbs. This will be the second time that Manny Pacquiao has fought for a title at a catch weight – The first being against Miguel Cotto at 145 instead of 147. There is a lot of politics and bureaucracy in boxing, but this is one of the more blatant abuses of power we’ve seen in a while.

PAC DEFIES LOGIC IN UNIMPEDED FASHION

With catch weights and politics involved, it would not be unrealistic to see Manny Pacquiao become heavyweight (200 lb.) champion of the world. And although doing it and keep an amazingly sculpted frame would seem irrational, Manny has the secret get it done. Since Manny doesn’t appear to be interested in proving to his detractors that he is indeed ‘void of roids’, speculation is allowed to continue. This position unfortunately leaves a shadow of doubt cast over his career in the eyes of many. Honestly, one of the easiest ways to counter the Floyd Mayweather Sr. inspired insinuation that he is on drugs would be to simply implement Olympic style testing for himself and Antonio Margarito. But in it’s own way, that would also defy logic.

    LOGIC DOESN’T APPLY WITH PACMAN

With Margarito’s career in shambles I wonder if we can expect him to give the type of performance worthy of the stage. Will he be the unrelenting beast who eventually broke the will of Miguel Cotto, or the punching bag that got the stuffing beat out of him by Shane Mosley? If Margarito were to win this fight, it would he not only an upset but also a shock to the boxing world. It would also take any remnants of steam left out of the public interest in a Mayweather-Pacqauiao match. If Manny wins (as should be expected) he will once again have beat up a bigger man than the last guy he beat up. There’s nothing more to it than that, except the rest of the irrational and foul circumstances that will make this strange bout a reality. For the sake of boxing, hopefully there will be very few of these circus events in the near future

I don't think Oscar took a dive, body shots can have a delayed reaction.
