That makes a big difference if Martinez wanted the fight at 160 maybe Angulo felt that the weight would put him at a disadvantage.
Martinez said he'd fight him at JMW, or at a catchweight of 155 for his MW title. That's a damn good offer.
But I'm not mad at Angulo for not taking the offer. He's not ready for Martinez. If he got outboxed by Cintron, how would he have a chance against the guy who knocked him the f**k out?
Yall want angulo to fight sergio martinez?Angulo has never even fought
a southpaw before.I think this is the correct choice for angulo. He is still
raw imo.
Well he shouldn't say he would fight anybody in post fight interviews then turn down a career high pay day against Sergio Martinez.
So he should rephrase what he said to "I would fight anybody depending on how good they are".

Yes I remember this. Martinez offered his 160 titles at 155. No excuse, one pound will not hurt you and you can always come in at 154 anyways.
Alfredo La Perra Angulo just ducked Martinez. SMH.
If it was at 160 I think it's a somewhat of a valid excuse, however BoxerDood made a good point I do remember now Martinez said he could do 155.
I think it's the smart decision because Martinez would beat the crap out of him, but angulo can no longer say he's calling out everyone, he will fight everyone, etc. clearly this is a duck.
