Australia’s Michael Katsidis recently told Rick Reeno that he could be lured back to the UK for a WBO title fight with John Murray, 29-0 (17), should Juan Manuel Marquez vacate the title in order to pursue bigger things. Michael, nicked named ‘The Great’ in tribute to his Greek ancestry, has his long-term sights set on WBA light-welterweight title-holder Amir Khan and sees a fight against Murray as a chance to smoke Amir out. Certainly, another barnstorming UK showcase would increase the calls for a Katsidis-Khan contest.
