if i'm your promotor and say u get 70% of what u deserve, u might complain, but u'll take it.. whatever.. i'll keep putting u up against better fighters if u perform better.

if i'm your promotor and u get 20% of what u deserve and keep using u as a human heavy bag even though u got a lot more talent (Tim Witherspoon, i think, right?) what am i doing it for? for boxing and money or just money?

Don King gets flack for having a criminal record and frequently having to maneuver the legal system. All Promoters maximize profits on fighters but King is a tried and true scumbag. He's currently stalling Ricardo Mayorga's career. When Juan Diaz didn't resign with him, they had a **** falling out. Seems you don't generally walk away from Don King on good terms.

I can't answer for Tim Witherspoon but as a man I wouldn't have went for that ****. I know its not as easy as I am making it out to be but there are many avenues that he could have taken to get his situation right.

I blame the fighter if they constantly let a promoter rob them and as I blame the musician if the label keeps ****ing them around.

Don King is a hustler but all promoters are, really though aslong as you treat Don King as such that can work out for you because he can hustle the other side for you aslong as you don't really mind him getting his.

Besides in terms of evil I think he is way past his prime he seems a lot mroe mellow.

All promoters have stalled fighters careers don't act like King is the only one to have done. In boxing this was a game controlled by powerful white men some legal but many illegal. Don King came into this game and got over on those schoole educated white men and those illegal white men. They can't get over the fact that a so called none educated criminal black man got over on them for the world to see. So everything wrong that King has done gets blown up when those same white men have been doing it for years in boxing.

I have read many complaints about Shelly Finkel but his ALLEDGED ALLEGATIONS don't make front page news like Don King's ALLEDGED ALLEGATIONS.

True statement from Don King "If I was robbing Mike Tyson like they say I was Mike Tyson was making more money with me robbing him than he is with them not robbing him right now"
Mike Tyson never denied the statement. I still respect what Don King has done in the boxing game.

Don't take my statements as King has been a good guy and done no wrong. Its just that I see King as no worse than the many before him and the many that have and will come after him.

One that stuck out to me was supposedly Blank Contracts. He'd have some fighter's sign blank contracts, which basically he could edit to however he saw fit later on.
It's from the Life and Crimes of Don King documentary. I just watched half of it last night after I downloaded it from the video section.

Blank contracts were part of it, he also gave 2 contracts for fighters to sign. 1 where it stated he would only take the legal max of 33% and another where he would take 50%. I have to catch it again to refresh on the figures.
