Comments Thread For: Robert Helenius Promises To Punish Gregory Tony on 8/21

A victory is all that matters for Robert Helenius (12-0, 7 KOs) when he takes on Gregory Tony (12-0, 10 KOs) for the vacant EU Heavyweight Title in Erfurt on August 21. The “Nordic Nightmare” sent shockwaves through the international boxing world when he stopped former WBO Heavyweight Champion Lamon Brewster in what was just his 11th fight. After injuring his hand during a points victory over Gbenga Oloukun in Helsinki in March, Helenius is now ready to continue his rise to stardom. “I can´t wait to get back in the ring,” the 26-year-old said from his training camp base in Kienbaum, some 20 miles east of Berlin. “Ulli Wegner keeps teaching me new things every day and I am keen to show them against Tony. I am hungry to win my first title.” [Click Here To Read More]

I like Helenius too, and I think he probably has a good future in the division. Hopefully his hand injury is now behind him.

Tony is a good fighter, a former kickboxing champion, so Robert needs to be at his best for this one.

Two very good matchups on that Sauerland card: Huck vs. Godfrey and Helenius vs. Tony.
