Kostya Tszyu was an incredible boxer in the amateurs. He displayed overall speed from head to toe, perfect balance, unique style, very savy, cat-like reflexes, and power when he really wanted to showcase it.
As a young Pro, he showed all of the above. However, it does seem to me at least, that as the years went on, for one reason or another this ability declined. Of course with age and wear and tear it will but it seemed a bit to soon.
Actually, it reminds me of an interview discussion with Zab Judah preparing for his bout with Tszyu and he was told that Tszyu had gone back over some of his amateur fights and I think early pro career fights and was reviewing his style back then to maybe bring it back into play. Judah basically responded with saying that Tszyu was to old now...to old to fight like that...and that those days have past. Of course, we know Tszyu still kept his power and timing up despite any other loss he may have suffered and Judah found out that was all he needed against him
So anyway, maybe some have already seen these but I haven't. So for all that haven't, the first two are new to me and the rest I've seen before.
Kostya Tszyu (URS) | Alexander Banin (URS) (a) 1/2
Kostya Tszyu | Terron Millett I (a) 1/1
