So Marquez Might Be Fighting Katsidis In November

“We are fighting Michael Katsidis in November out of obligation.”

    -Nacho Beristain

Who do you have if this happens?

Btw that would cross out Marquez and Katsidis from the list Khan gave to GBP for his December fight. Hopefully he will be forced to fight Maidana in December. Both these fights would be good for boxing fans

This is the fight i want to see Marquez in. Katsidis is on fire and is a real threat to JMM, he has a good chance at the upset. Still Marquez has t be the pick, and imo by stoppage

Katsidis SD. He can do it, but would he receive any credit for beating an "old man"?

Marquez is going to pick him apart quite easily, he's just too open to hit. Juan DIaz beat him up pretty badly and I can't picture Katsidis' face looking too pretty. Marquez via TKO.

I have to Agree Katsidis is severly under rated he looked a class act in destroying kevin mitchell but Marquez is a different beast all together this will be a blood bath cause kat has waited so long for this fight id expect WAR !

I do agree but then on the other hand JMM's reflexes are on the slide and Katsidis is in great form, Diaz rocked Marquez in their first fight and MK is 3x the puncher Diaz is plus he will no let him off the hook.

However u slice it its gonna be a great scrap!

High pressure fighter against a smart slick fighter.
                Perfect clash of styles.
Sadly tho I think JMM is a little too old to keep up with the kind of pressure Katsidis will put him under.

Katsidis/Marquez is a very good fight.
I think GBP might be playing games with Marquez/Khan. That fight was on before and provided Khan with high profile publicity and provided cover to not look like a ducker in getting out of the Maidana fight. I think the same thing may be going here with Khan waiting for the Marquez/Diaz result. That provided perfect cover for not taking on a real challenge. Once the Marquez/Khan fight falls through the opportunity for a safe opponent to be slotted in as a replacement is presented.
Katsidis/Marquez is a better fight where size is not going to be such a big factor.
