Seriously American fighters have the benefit of an actual Amature program and spend years beating the crap out of guys who wont even become pro's and then move on to the pro ranks and usually spend the first 3rd of their careers fighting cans themselves.

I think Americans are just disapointed in their own fighters inability to get in the ring at 17 and beat the **** out of grown men.

It's different for each fighter. It's not like there is some boxing god determining what nation and race of people will have tougher challenges.

If American's were truly a joke at boxing fights wouldn't be held here and there wouldn't be good American-born boxers. There are great boxers from all over the world. No one really gets away with fighting "cans" (why so disrespectful to the "cans" who are often Mexican/South American boxers with a large amount of losses?) because the big money fights aren't against fighting "cans". Sure after you build your status and get some legitimate wins some boxers can fight a "can" (who likely has a record of 30-5 or something excellent), but boxers don't gain fame and fortune by fighting cans.

But in all truth...who cares who you fight coming up?The fights against the big stars when you are already primed and ready are what countrs.
Who cares if youy beat 100 cans from 17 to 21 or if you beat 100 cans in the amateurs?
