Yeah I think Frankie Gomez has a better chance. He's got more of the tools Oscar had. I'm sure they'll also protect him for a while too. I like what I've seen so far.

he was being built up as the next golden boy.... but that all backfired after the maidana fight.... i hate how there always comparing young up and coming fighters to oscar del a hoya. u would think he is the only accomplished guy in the sport of boxing.

There won't be any next Golden Boy, it's weird the way some promoters/media are trying to build a new DLH, it won't happen. With that being said, no, Ortiz won't be the next Golden Boy, he might be the next Vargas but not the next GB.
