Freddie has stated that he would accept the fight. He thinks Chavez would win. I am acutally sold on Chavez. I think the kid is the goods. I think he would give Cotto a tough fight. Whether he wins is a different story. I hope this fight gets signed. It seems like the right time for Jr to step up and you really cant get any better than Cotto for that step.

I'm not sure Freddie wants to fight them right now. Cotto's experience will be too much for Jr. IMO. Just ask Yuri Foreman...

I'm sure that sounds weird to some people, but Chavez Jr. is not as sorry as people make him out to be, he's a giant, and he's at the stage of his career where he's gonna eat guys who are on their way out like Cotto up.

im just not sure it's fair to make chavez jr go to 154. and im obviously a cotto fan but im not giving cotto any credit for making that kid lose that much weight to accomodate him. although it wouldn't be fair as well for cotto to go to 160. cotto is the champ and he's the bigger draw so it falls on chavez jr to make the terms.
