David Haye - a Smart Cookie

What a difference a year makes..

12 months ago he was chasing WK, almost shackling himself to a slave contract. He pulled out 'back problem'. We all know that wasnt true

He then tried for VK and found the same contract issues. He pulled out.

So how does a fighter with only two previous HW fights talk on even ground with the rulers of the division?

Grab the one slice of the pie they dont have. The WBA HW title.

Like the K's David Haye is now a world champion.

    So what now?

    Defend it. Defend it WELL.

    Box ticked.

    So what now?

Well 12 months ago David Haye was chasing the big fight and the big money that goes with it, but only the big fight presented itself, the money, alas, remains on the side of the K's

    So what now?

Slowly, gently simmer the interest, make yourself heard, get under the skin of the two men you want to fight the most. Annoy them, distract them, irritate them. Generate mutterings on internet forums, have people love you and hate you in equal measure, make your name heard beyond boxing, become a SPORTING personality, not just a boxing personality. You do all this and you're tattooing $$$ signs on your chest. You're a commodity now, a money making machine.....the heir to the throne.

    So now what?

So here we are now, Aug 2010 and the tables are turning. Who now is chasing who? The K's are chasing the fight, and so therefore the big money becomes closer to an even split.

    So now what?

    Make the fight.

Come early 2011 this fight WILL happen.

    And who wins?

    DAVID HAYE.

Only that the fight won't happen. You think Haye's is smart? His reputation is about as high as Valuev and Povetkin's. His realm is now only limited to the country of his origin. Anyone who is not a british considers him a coward and want him to either retire or get knocked out and retire. Yes, he is smart, the same way a rabbit is smart to avoid the wolf.

Haye will get stretched by either brother, the Brits buying into Haye being a legit world champion will be the ones laughing about him when he gets knocked sparko by a jab in under 3 mins Boxing.

for a man with over 21K posts, your boxing knowledge is pretty crude and shallow. I'd have expected a bit more intelligence.

He hurt the fight by not fighting already, he looks scared and thus less ppl are interested and buying into the idea that Haye can win because if he doesn't think he can win why should anyone else.

That doesn't seem very smart to me.

Thats reality, its a cold, hard place.

Lets be honest, Barrett never was anybody, he was also shot to **** when Haye beat him, Ruiz age tells its own story, plus he was never that good to begin with, Valuebum? do! me! a favour

Barrett put Tua on his behind post his fight with Haye, 'Valubum' is avoided by the Ks and thus they cant say anything as they've never fought or beaten him, and neither K would have beaten JR as well as Haye did.

That makes Barrett credible all of a sudden.

You need to get a grip. Haye is going to make Brits feel the pain of failure again when he gets stretched, and its people like you that are going to make the victory all the more sweeter for the haters, more painful for yourself, here is an idea, stay quiet until he actually beats a Klit, then!! boast.
