    Doesn't sound like legitimacy.

They"re aware hes one fight removed from a horrific beatdown.

This is a somewhat safe and fun style match-up.

With any fighter as a fan I allow them to fight a couple of safe fights after a beatdown.

    Nothing wrong with this fight.

He'll have to step it up after this though.

    Perhaps Angulo or Martinez.
Thank God, a voice of reason. It is somewhat safe but who knows maybe Jr. steps up. I don't think he will but maybe. It would be a fun fight for however long it lasts and it will have a terrific buildup with two great fan bases going at it and an electric fight night atmosphere.

From Jr. perspective he is going against one of the biggest names in boxing who he might believe is shot.

From Cotto's he is going against a recognized name, albeit a product of his father and mediocre matchmaking (so far so everybody chill out), he gets the opportunity to take another 0, make a good payday, and gets the chance to keep working on his technique with Steward.

I have no problem with this. Hopefully Angulo keeps winning and that's would be next up for Cotto. Asuming he wins.

Only Mexican fighter I ever really liked was Erik Morales. He's still my dude!!! My beef with Chavez is he was a little 2 hype when Cheato beat Cotto. I know we got the little the rivalry and he himself took part in the rivalry but I wonder what he thought when he found out about Tony and his plaster wraps.

Ugh not really Chavez draws about 10,000 fans on his own here in the states and 20,000 in Mexico. Cotto was never the huge superstar people make him out to be outside of his own ethnic following.

If they throw this fight on PPV I'm streaming it. And yeah, the fact Cotto is taking two fights in a row that are viewed as breathers by me and a lot of other people in non-hostile territory as always (except against Margarito and Pac) is suspect.

I'd watch this fight. I though Chavez Jr looked good in his last fiht but Cotto is no Duddy. I think Chavez does well for a few rds but Cotto breaks him down after 6 or so.

If Cotto beats Chavez Jr. I know Arum won't let him fight anybody outside of the Top Rank stable. And I think Cotto would beat Berto and is too big for Bradley, so I wouldn't mind seeing a fight between Mike Jones and Cotto. If they threw that fight in Philadelphia I'll bet it would sell out like hot cakes. That would be a fight Cotto should take to see where he stands and not these second raters like Foreman and Chavez Jr.
