Chavez was much improved in his last bout & with Roach in his corner i think confidence will be high as Jr has never tasted defeat everyone says Cotto has the better skill set and that may be but they wouldnt have taken this fight if they did not think they could win it -
its not nice to admit but im SU****IOUS of all roachs fighters thesedays i mean when i saw how much better chavez looked i couldnt help but wander if he was on the majic potion now !

Jr has the advantage of youth and age. He is also a busy fighter if he gets into a groove. But he has never faced a foe with this many skills in one fighter, a good jab, excellent body punching and power. Don't see JCC jr getting out in the 8th ruond

Chavez jr is green if Alvarez is too mate. They've both had quite a lot of pro fights but Chavez Jr had no amateur career to speak of. They're similar in age, similar in experience, though Alvarez would still probably have more overall.

On the weight thing, Chavez Jr fought at 154 for his whole career so far up until his last fight basically. Alvarez has been sitting between 147 and 154. They have been fighting in the same division the whole time mate.

Anyway, good fight. I'd love to see it personally. Chavez has a chance simply because of his style and he's not that unskilled. Ok chin, decent power, reasonable technique etc. The only thing he lacks is stamina to burn. Cotto should still win but it could at least make a good, brutal fight while it lasts. I'm bored of boxing at the moment. There are no wars or good fights being made.

Cotto wins this one no doubt about it, hopefully after this he gets better opponents, lets wait and see.

No matter how much improvement Chavez Jr. has made, he's permanently green. He never fought a boxer with a name worth remembering until this Cotto fight. He'll quit in his corner come round 6 to protect his face from being permanently rearranged by Cotto.
