Now I'm absolutely convinced that Khan will unify JWW.

If Khan didn't have a questionable chin, he would pretty much wipe any1 out at 140. But because of the crack in his armour it's closer.

This is a mis-conception of khan's career over the last year to 18 months, as he has fought 3 solid 140 lb'ers in a row, none of them were big punchers but they were all solid at the weight all inside the top 10, in malignaggi and kotelnik's case were actually world class, and were all dominated. Obviously khan's stock has gone up because of the weekend fight between kotelnik and alexander, and im not surprised why, people are now realising that khan's performance against kotelnik in his first fight at 140 was a very good one. To be honest I think he made paulie look a poor fighter also, but I think paulie could probably compete with most at the weight.

He can unify the titles next year there is no rush, fighting marquez is probably the right move for his career. He is a big name, it is a big money fight and will get khan much more exposure then the other guys at 140, and lets not label marquez a normal lightweight he is an exceptional fighter and even at 140 could probably beat most in the top 10. If marquez doesn't take the fight, then no problem, he is a legend...it is a bad style match up for him and he has nothing left to prove, but don't forget he has a lot to gain, as well as a big pay day, he could be the first mexican to win 4 titles at different weights. I think if the fight gets made khan will decision marquez, but learn valuable lessons during the fight that he wouldn't against most fighters, this is priceless for his career. He can then move on to bradley, and the other major players at 140.

IMO khan can beat maidana and alexander . Bradley is the most well rounded of the 140lbers and will stay on khan for the full 12 , he has deceptive power and will either tko khan late or get a clear decision.

Alexander's defensive problems and offensive predictability were put on display in the kotelnik fight . He ate jabs throughout the fight . I see Khan as a faster , more mobile , stronger version of kotelnik and he'll will be able to establish his better jab and win a decision or late stoppage .

Maidana is crude , slow footed but his power will make khan fight cautiously . Either khan by wide ud or maidana by brutal ko

Sadly though the alexander kotelnik fight will just be written off as a bad night for alexander by HBO when in reality mistakes ignored in the urango fight due to his great ko are the problem and we probably won't get to see that rematch

precisely. Maidana's not pushing for his mandatory at the moment, either because of the agreement with GBP or because of his managerial dispute, nevertheless, Khan can fight who he wants. JMM is a big money fight that would get him a lot of exposure in the USA and also Mexico.

JMM is smaller but is still a challenge as he is fast, skillful and a great counter-puncher. Khan will undoubtedly get tagged by some of JMM's counters, he's a smaller guy but it'll be interesting to see how Khan's chin would fair.

People don't give Khan props for who he's beaten. People wrote Kotelnik off as a bum but he BEAT Alexander. Now people are jumping on the Kotelnik band wagon. People should give Khan his dues for schooling Kotelnik.

Khan in the last 2 years has:
                - been KTFO and was back in the gym the very next day to work harder
                - teamed up with the best trainer in the world, and also Ariza.
                - beat a past-prime, smaller Barrera. still no easy task, but it was a good style match up for Khan.
                - won an alphabet title after moving up in weight, dominating everybody's new favourite fighter, Kotelnik.
                - destroyed an unbeaten American hype-job in Salita, who was his mandatory. Why he was the mandatory, I don't quite know.
                - dismantled and possibly ended the career of Paulie Malignaggi, a former World Champ who could probably beat top 10 JWW like Ortiz, Mabuza, Alexander, McCloskey etc.

Until Khan starts fighting the top guys in his own division i won't take him serious.

That's ok dude. New here but from your posts it doesn't seems like anybody could take you seriously. By the way you might want to take a look at khan's amateur record.... You'll notice how he was voted best boxer in all divisions in the european and world championships, winning both and he also beat Ortiz in the amateurs.

The guy can box, personally I think his lack of a decent chin makes it far more tense watching him. Or at last will do when he's in there with a puncher. Which will happen. Just my two pence...

I think big punchers will always be a risky area. Alexander and Bradley despite being better boxers don't pose as high a risk as Ortiz and Maidana.
