I know Canelo and his team have wanted Chavez Jr. for a while. This is the first time I have heard Chavez come out in the open with a response so I do expect a showdown seeing as they are big rivals in Mexico.

I hope they fight next year on either May 5th or Sept 18th, either date would draw huge crowds. Also I hope its a scenario where they face off next year then again later on down the road.

A fight between JCC jr and Canelo is too premature at the moment. However a year or two down the line with a couple of notable wins under their belts would bring interest.

Alot of the boxing fans I have met that are from Mexico say Canelo is better. Hell a few have even told me Omar is better than Julio, and I think JCC Jr is tired of hearing all of that and wants to shut a few people up.

i think canelo/chavez would be huge later,not now,first canelo needs to fight better known opponents then become a champ,same for chavez...after both have done that,then they would be proven champs and face off,it would be a huge fight
