    Will Taylor Take Hopkins?

If these two should fight in the next few months, which is unlikely but possible, who do you think would win? From the fights that I have seen of Jermain, he seems very explosive and very patient. He also appears to be a tad bigger than Hopkins. I don't remember seeing Hopkins fight anyone as dangerous outside of Tito.

jermain had his chance at Hopkins, he had to fight and beat eastman to become the mandatory for Hopkins 160 WBC crown, but he backed out and took a fight with joppy rumors are that hes should be fighting at supermiddleweight, i mean what is he waiting for? for Hopkins to get old and he cant get any older than he is already about who im picking to win the fight, i think you might have gotten a hint

Yeah I agree with you. It seems like Taylor just wants to fight other fights until Hopkins retires and than he will have a way easier road to travel to get the title. Taylor does need to move up though, he seems like he could match Tarver in weight.

As soon as Hopkins retire Tito would be there to get the belts or he will win them back after he defeats Sturm and becomes the #1 condenter for all middleweight belts...which means Taylor doesnt have a chance either way from looking at the Joppy fight

i'd like to see Taylor move up to 175, Hops is never gonna be old enough for Taylor to beat him. Even if Hops retires, with Nard out of the way, Taylor would still have to face Tito, or David Lopez, or some other big puncher with better skills that we haven't even heard of yet

yeah tito would beat taylor even though i hate both, but Hopkins vs. tito is not to far, since don king's money got tito up to #1 on the wbc middleweight ranking

No disrespect, but Taylor did the best he could with a "amatuerish opponent". Joppy was getting beat so badly that he gave up and resorted to showboating and staying away. He knew he had no chance. I believe it was Emanuel Steward that said "It's awfully hard to fight someone who's not fighting back".
