Will Floyd Mayweather fight in December?

If Floyd vs Manny is to happen in May 2011, should Floyd fight in Dec 2010 to stay active?

A whole year lay off at 34 is'nt smart going into the biggest fight of your career IMO.

Agree, but I doubt he fights anyone. I would love to see him fight someone like Berto.

Does anyone remember that picture of the Mayweather iPhone app, which said he's fighting again in December? I wonder if that's really true.

Yeah i remember that thread. But who could his opponent be? The only legit person that can rev money is Cotto. I dont know who else he could fight.

Berto would be a good match up, but Floyd wont fight Berto unless he thinks he can make a lot of money. I still think Berto needs one or two more fights before he takes on a Pac or May. I wouldnt mind seeing Floyd vs Cotto.

Maybe he will fight Bradley, similar style to Paq just not as much pop, that could be a good fight to get him ready for Paq.

Well Bradley's ready and has his eye on an Alexander unification showdown....but I'm sure he'd dump Alexander, Khan in a heartbeat for a potential fight with PBF. I doubt it'd be Cotto, I'm sure he knows he'd get alot more **** for fighting Pac's "leftovers" than just staying inactive. But Floyd's a gym rat and I'm pretty sure he always talking strategy over with his dad n uncle. I can see Mayweather-Mayorga doing decent numbers, imagine the shi*talking!!!! DLH-Mayorga did like 900k PPV buys, Floyd could do decent numbers, well at least better than 700k.

I too wouldn't mind Mayweather-Cotto at 154 lbs, but haters would keep on bitchin.

The only options left are Williams, Martinez and Berto. Bradley wouldn't make sense right now, since he's ranked #10 at WW. What would it look like for the #1 WW to fight the #10, unknown WW? However if Bradley beats Alexander, and then moves up to 147 and beats Berto, then he'd be #3 at WW and the fight would make more sense.
