Why the hell not? I'm disappointed that Johnson won't get another chance to fight Cloud in a way. But I think the result will be exactly the same if not more lopsided like the Dawson-Johnson rematch was.

Now no doubt I would make Dawson a favorite to win the fight. But that still doesn't change the fact that it's ****** to say the fight is a waste of time or that Cloud has no chance at all. That's talk of Lopez stans and *****s. If Dawson goes down to 168 and fights Bute, I'm more okay with that than I was before since Cloud didn't make the statement we were looking for against Johnson. But if he fights anybody outside of those two guys if he beats Pascal it's a let down.

I'm not gonna sit there and watch Dawson destroy some bum and say I don't wanna see him fight Cloud because it would be a white wash while the guy he is fighting is not as dangerous. Pascal is an acceptable fight. And I'm not saying it isn't. But I still wish people would quit saying they don't wanna see Dawson fight Cloud because they think it would be a waste of time.

Look at Devon Alexaner. He looked like dog **** against Kotelnik and got a major gift, and people expect Timothy Bradley to jump to fight him at the drop of the hat when neither guy has entered negotiations or explored other options. And they shrug this fight off as a total mismatch. It's laughable.

Then again its no more interesting than a Dawson/Shumenov fight or a Dawson Campillo fight.

I think Chad will outclass him and win a boring decision but at least with Cloud you know he will only fight one way and try his hardest to make it an exciting fight.

its definitely at the top of my list of fights at Light Heavy that i want to see though.

It didn't happen before because HBO didn't see Cloud as an attraction, but now that he's already appeared on HBO, it will happen sooner or later.

Are you Serious Cloud vs Dawson would be a good fight! A fight Cloud could win. IMO Cloud fought Johnson better then Dawson did the 1st time he fought him. Cloud stunned Johnson a couple of times. Dawson in the 1st fight appeared overwhelmed by Johnson and Cloud stayed right with him all fight. I feel that Dawson is a superior boxer then Cloud and better movement but Cloud will come to fight and will make Dawson Fight! I think Cloud could give Dawson a run for his money and I would bet he could beat him!

No problem with Dawson fighting Cloud. It's a big fight in the division, and an interesting fight styles wise. I think Dawson definitely beats him, but that doesn't mean he shouldn't fight him.

It depends. I mean if Dawson beats Pascal and Bute emerges as a candidate for Dawson....than that would be a viable fight too, and a much bigger fight money wise, so I wouldn't blame Dawson for fighting Bute over Cloud.

I personally have no problem with a Dawson vs. Cloud fight, whether or not it'd be a competitive fight is where our opinions differ. After his performance Saturday night, I'm skeptical about whether or not Cloud would pose much of a threat to Chad. Sure, he has a punchers chance, he has tremendous power and Dawson has been put down a few times, but other than that, Chad is pretty much a superior fighter in ever tangible way.

Now that I think about it, if Chad blows away Pascal, he could match up with Cloud as a tune up before going on to fight Bute, who in my opinion, is a tougher match up for Chad than just about anyone north of 160 and south of 200. If he beats Pascal, Bute, and Cloud, he can then take care of Ward and Dirrell, who by this time, should have made the move up to 175.

If he survives a gauntlet of that magnitude, he'll be P4P#1, a huge draw, and a few fights away from being considered a top 10 ATG at light heavy.
