Maidana Would UD Alexander : Thats Saying Something

After Alexanders completely substandard fight against Kotelnik in which Kotelnik:

    1. Kotelnik had not fought for over a year since loosing badly to Khan

    2. Kotelnik fought Alexander in Alexanders home town

    3. Kotelniks first fight in the USA

Khan beat Kotelnik every round whilst Kotelnik was an active and reigning world champion, Not a former champion on the slide when Alexander fought Kotelnik, Maidana had a very close fight with Kotelnik.

I feel that Maidana could comfortably outbox Alexander and cruise to UD after 12 rounds. Forget about KO by Maidana of Alexander which is very possible given the huge and massive gaps in Alexanders defence, Maidana who is a one diamensional slugger with very crude and rudimentary boxing skills could outbox Alexander!

That fight would not go to a decision & Maidana can't outbox Alexander, he's simply a brawler.

Alexander was pretty busy vs. Kotelnik, and looked a little winded after the 6th. If Maidana catches Alexander during an exchange, the fight could switch momentum in an instant.

Maidana always has the proverbial "puncher's chance", but if he can condition himself to go the distance while maintaining power, he can be dangerous...and UD Devon Alexander.

If Kotelnik had anything close to Maidana's power, he'd have knocked Alexander out

Maidana doesn't have a defense like Kotelnik's nor can he box as good so I don't see him giving Alexander the same kind of problems that Kotelnik did.

I think people should be giving Kotelnik a lot more credit than they are.

                    Kotelnik is good.

But in the Maidana fight, he wasn't as busy as he was with Alexander. With Maidana, he was quite literally impersonating Clottey (as in Clottey v. Pacquiao).

Was it because of the power difference that he didn't wanna open up vs. Chino?
Or did he feel Alexander didn't hit as hard, so he opened up vs. Devon?
