Do it independently(assuming Floyd signs with king). Will it hurt HBO?

That would be great, but I don't think neither know how to market online, and on TV well enough.

not having a 24/7 would hurt

This would only hurt the fight itself.

            Lmao...

Im pretty sure they could do something like 24/7 beside Floyd team did come up the idea if I'm not mistaken. **** showtime wouldn't probably have problem with doing it. Their version ****s on hbo's anyway.

This has happened before when King had a falling out and took Tyson to rival Showtime. Fortunately HBO had superstars in Hamed and Oscar De La Hoya to fall back on.

Both King and Arum have the power and understanding of the business to do that. It will definately hurt HBO so expect for them to cater to both even though they have strong ties with Haymon.

Honestly, if it were to happen HBO would have to scramble to find a new face for HBO boxing. Khan, Canelo, Ortiz and others are too young and unproven so they won't work just yet.

Honestly Top Rank has been a great Job of that as of late, and if there is anyone who know how to be creative/innovative in marketing boxing it's Don King.

Neither King or Arum need HBO as both are great and know the business well enough to succeed independently or with another TV broadcating station.

Good point about iron mike. Everything see I agree with also.

**** if hbo couldn't get the fight signed and 2 tries **** it could happen. Matter of fact they are prob. Have to pay out their azz to get this fight if bob and don gets it done.

HBO will survive, one or two fighters will not make or break HBO. Its silly to even assume that. The strength of their production values and their financial backing ensures they can weather the storm.
