Jermain Taylor not as "classy" as some people think.

"He's a smart, dirty fighter," said the new champ, who earned $1.4 million to Hopkins' $4 million. "He was actually holding and I got called for the holding. I learned something. You'll see me do that next fight." - http://www.usatoday.com/sports/boxin...s-taylor_x.htm

Jermain says he learned a dirty tactic that B-Hop used on him. Will that be enough for their rematch? I don't think so. It's bad to see that, what I thought was a class act fighter, say something like this. I still haven't lost respect for Jermain Taylor, but this definately ruined his "good ol' country boy from Arkansas" gimmick with me.

If Taylor is smart, he wont get that close to Hopkins in the rematch, that's where Bernard does his damage.

Hopkins will do less posing in the later rounds, I hope. He was doing that even in the last 2 rounds, despite Taylor being wobbled.

        hmm

Well of course you wouldn't lose respect, as everything he said was totally true. Ain't no fuss over this, maybe now you see why. Jermain appears to be just as classy as all of us have thought. Pointless thread.

          Im shocked!

I had been telling everyone who would listen that Jermain Taylor the gorgeous young man from Little Rock was the classiest individual in the world...thats right the mother****ing world!

This thread has obviously shown otherwise, I will never root for this classless jerk again, I cant believe I was so naive! The next time I watch my tape of "****in in Little Rock" I will think of that classless *****!

Hopkins said a bunch of **** about Taylor in the post-fight presser and then admitted it was all just part of the show. Better to have trash-talking then the hugs and smiles we saw at the end of the Hatton-Tszyu fight.
