MANNY Calls Out FLOYD: Is he Dissatisfied With Margarito As An Opponent?

Manny is calling out Mayweather - on August 8th. Fully three weeks after the July 16th deadline. Does this signal Manny's dissatisfaction with Margarito as an opponent?

I wouldn't blame him. A Margarito fight is a joke. Everybody sees that.

But if they are still pursuing Floyd THREE WEEKS after "the deadline", then why did they set a deadline in the first place?


We are exactly three months from the fight date. Is Top Rank still holding out hope?

Not only did Arum leave the door open to Mayweather to still accept the fight in the next 10 days or so -- the length of time Arum figured it would take him to make a deal with Cotto or Margarito -- but he was also conciliatory toward a fighter he has had raging public feuds with since their promotional agreement ended on a sour note several years ago.
