Has Anybody Changed Their View On The 140lb Division....

2 of the supposed top fighters of the 140lb fighters fought within a month, even though 1 of them just fought at 147 (Bradley) he's still a natural 140, who'll probably be fighting @ that weight come next fight.

Has those 2 fights changed the view on who you think is the best in the 140 division or the division isn't highly rated as first thought etc.

I thought Bradley & Alexander were highly unimpressive if i have to be honest but these 2 fighters were representing the strength & skill of the Jr.WW division & failed miserably.

Both good fighters but it seems like majority of us (even me) got slightly ahead with some of the fighters in the division.

Not really but I don't make up my mind condering only one fight, boxing is very much a now sport though so it is always what have you done for me lately but people often make to much of just one fight.

Like if Alexander were to fight Maidana or Bradley next people would say Alexander has no chance because of this last fight but what does that last fight really have to do with the next one (even if the opposition was similar).

They are all still fights I want to see though.

My view was always that Bradley was at the top of the division...That hasn't changed. As a matter of fact, the feeling has just be reinforced!

Bradley didn't llok good at 147, I took that as meaning, he doesn't belong there. I don't think his status at 147 should suffer for that.

I would have made Devon second in the division, but after last night, I don't know who would come after Bradley at 140...

The 140 division is OVERRATED by American boxing writers and commentators like Eric Raskin and Max Kellerman, because of American boxers like Bradley and Alexander having titles.

Middleweight is UNDERRATED, because there are no really good American fighters there (except maybe Pavlik, who may move up to 168). There's talented Europeans (Pirog, Korobov, Sturm, Golovkin, etc) a Canadian (Lemieux) and an Argentinian (Martinez).

            Nope.

I always said that it was one of the best divisions, but wasn't as good as bantamweight, which I view as the best.

Nope Bradley is still the man and looks to be even more so after soundly beating a WW contender while Alexander got a gift over a guy coming off of a onesided loss to the chinny Amir Khan.

Still the same to me. A deep, strong division, but no one fighter completely separating themselves from the rest. Lots of potential though so once more of the top guys and up and comers start fighting I think we'll see someone emerge, most likely Kahn.

It used to be the Big 3 and everyone else was a tier low. I think that has changed and it's more like 6 fighters who can be bunched together and can beat one another.

Bradley's stock remains unchanged, Khan's improves, Kotelnik's vastly improves, while Alexander's falls.

That is what I would expect to be the general consensus. I stand by my statement that there is no real boss in this division, and numerous fighters could defeat each other on any given night. Of course, the spectre of Pacquaio looms over the division but I seriously doubt any of these guys will separate themselves enough to earn an ass kicking from him.
