SHAFTED in St Louis: A Poor Decision

I said before the fight there is no way Kotelnik gets out of there with a decision and thats exactly what happened. Not only did kotelnik land by far the cleaner and more effective shots but he also landed more punches overall, 225 to 202. Alexander missed with a lot of his shots and often lacked conviction. He was constantly rocked by kotelniks jab and crisp shots but yet lederman scores it 117 - 111 for alexander based on work and all three judges give it to him 116 - 112?? Kotelnik landed the better shots and more of them!! Amazing really

If this was the other way around the board would be going crazy but i guess its par for the course, double standards. If Kotelnik had homefield advantage in this one he takes it comfortably imo, devon was out boxed and out thought in there and clearly too. In fact the story of the fight should really be, what rounds did alexander actually win, let alone clearly!! Ill give him 3 and 9 with a few other close ones that could have gone either way but the rest to kotelnik.

    I agree with u

Devon remember works for Don King and he was in his hometown fight in front of his family and friends so Devon probably didn't get much rest and he seemed to lack mental focus, I can recall when Holyfield fought Bert Cooper in Atlanta GA at the old Omni, Bert Cooper nailed Holyfield and hurt him.

I think Devon needs to pursue another trainer or the problem might have been that Devon was not ready for the big stage yet.

Andrea fought a good fight he should have won I thought he won a deserved the decision, but Devon got the nod because he fought in front of his hometown, and their is more money to be made with him than Andre Kotlnick

This board was going crazy. A lot of people claimed it was a robbery here. You weren't the only one.

I thought the fight could've been a draw. I had Alexander winning the first few rounds like 1-5 give or take...Then Kotelnik pressure was clearly catching Alexander and I gave him most of the rounds from 6-11 give or take (i didnt write the rounds down)...The 12 round couldve went either way so i gave it a draw and Alexander would still keep his belt. I dont think either fighter got blown out that fight. It was a sloppy fight with no skills being shown, just swinging...

This is how boxing works hometown cooking and prospects are like little investements and the more the investment wins the more money the investors can make down the line with potentially bigger fights. Its a shame really. What good was it to HBO if Kotelnik won? They didnt even have a sob story bio about him before the fight.

Still was a good fight and Kotelnik looked good so I hope he gets to stay in the mix on televised fights.

How does a guy win who landed less shots and also clearly landed less clean and effective shots as well?? Ask lederman and the judges cos they must have the answer.

Kotelnik was the guy who looked in control in there, even when alexander put together his combinations they lacked zip and crispness. He was reaching. Kotelniks jab landed all night on devon and if i were devon i would not be in a hurry to fight khan. Like khan or hate him his jab is far superior to kotelniks and on that evidence would wreak havoc on alexander imo
