Well anyways, my dad saw it clear for Devon like your dad. I also gave it to Devon but not as clear. It was like a borderline win. Not impressive at all. Devon needs to go back to the drawing board. But TBH he didn't fight no bum. Kotelnik brings it against any of the top 140 guys. IMO Kotelnik is just as good as any of those guys who are being a bit overrated at 140. I think Alexander and Bradley showed they are just a tiny bit overrated in their last fights. But we'll see, one fight is one fight. Not like they're putting up back to back bad performances. It happens to everyone. Look at Mosley he went from a bad performance against Mayorga to a performance that resurrected his career atm against Margarito.

And as for Bradley possibly KOing Bradley, I don't think so.
Interesting that both of our dads saw Devon winning the fight. But hey, different people see different things. Anyways, you make VERY good points Kev. Kotelnik is a solid, solid fighter. The dude has GREAT timing, my goodness! He timed the mess out of Devon.

But, as I look at the whole thing, it was a good experience for Devon. He now has to get back to the drawing board and improve. Nothing wrong with a young fighter having to improve on flaws and weaknesses. He won't fight as he did tonight against Tim. For one, styles makes fights and he has time to learn from his mistakes and better against Tim.

I've been saying this for a minute too. I thought that Cory should have made a switch earlier than he did, but he just stop being very dedicated to the sport. I wish Devon would switch, but he has been with Kev since he was 7, so he isn't going anywhere.

He showed his glaring flaws and hopefully he works on them. In January, Bradley will be ready hopefully it was just a style mismatch and Devon performs better or TB will dominate him.

Think the pressure of the moment had an impact? IE: Hometown Fight, Mayweather, King, Tyson, Holyfield?

i just hold on to my judgement to after his next performance, pressure is mutherF aint it?

Right, I agree. My dad watched it at home and we saw it COMPLETELY different.

Yea, I didn't like the official score cards at all. What was Lederman's card?

so Devon didn't provide the type of spectacular performance that we all expected, its all good...he got the win on a night where im sure the pressure of performing in front of your hometown might have gotten to him
Oh yes. His timing was sick and he did look sharp. As cupocity put it, his defense was like Winky's. And, I think Dev may have felt that pressure. It was LIVE in there! Then we had alot of these celebs there and this was his first card headlining at home, so I know just where you are coming from Mak.

put this one in the 'experience' folder and move on...i'm sure he wont have too many of these 'off' nights
            Great assessment.

Yeah man I mean he's only 23 not 33. He'll learn more from this fight than any other fight he has had.

Lederman basically gave the whole fight to Alexander. He only gave 2 rounds to Kotelnik. You should watch the fight from your comp. Maybe it's different seeing it live than on tv. I know I gave Kotelnik more than 2 rounds though.

Lederman had it 117-111 I believe.
