typical americans, over-hype their fighters and pay the judges.
this is probably the biggest robbery of the decade, the fight wasnt even close.
well done Kotelnik, he's the real championComment

Where are all the cam'ron ****riders now that their boy got exposed by ''Kotelnik''. When Khan beat this guy dudes were saying he was just the paper champion but then this dude Alexandria gets exposed. I think he may have underestimated Kotelnik but at this stage in his career its not a wise move to underestimate anybody especially a seasoned vet.
Atleast now hopefully Bradley and Khan will be encouraged to fight Devon because he is still a champion but his stock should fall significantly given that Khan had a relatively impressive win against Kotelnik.Comment

From what you READ about the fight? You didn't see it?
Kotelnik clearly won a competitive fight against Maidana. I posted it in our videos section a couple of years ago, it's still there.
Before you claim someone got a gift decision, instead of being a ******, biased Euro-hater, YOU SHOULD ACTUALLY WATCH THE FIGHT.
Kotelnik was ROBBED of a deserved wide decision win against Soulemane M'Baye in the UK a few years ago, and Junior Witter received a gift decision over him as well.lighten up, if I dont have access to the fight I generally have to settle for reports, and thats what I read. I usually take them with a grain of salt, but expect them to more or less tell the truth. notice as well that I went out of my way to say that it was what I read, instead of claiming it as fact.
I get that youre probably pretty upset by bad judging, but dont you think youre going overboard? bad judging happens everywhere, and although it doesnt make me like it any more, Id think boxing fans would be at least somewhat used to it by now.
how I am a 'Euro-hater' is beyond me.
Claiming Kotelnik was robbed in all of those fights Tunney is a bit rich because they were all very close that could have easily gone either way. Some people see the harder shots that Maidana landed compared to the more accurate counter shots landed by Kotelnik.
In that case though, as opposed to the Alexander fight, Maidana actually landed a lot more punches than Kotelnik, he landed the harder shots through the fight and had Kotelnik busted up, bleeding from the nose and mouth and didn't get much damage himself. It was very different from this fight.
Maidana outlanded Kotelnik in every single round and nearly doubled him in every single round with power punches landed. The jabs were very similar through the fight but I thought the power punches were the difference as they were genuinely effective aggressive shots all the way through, as opposed to him missing most like Alexander did.
You could say Kotelnik won, but you would be more correct in saying that the clear victory (if there even was one) was awarded to the wrong guy in that case. Yes, Maidana threw more like Alexander and many were blocked or missed, but, most importantly the difference was that he actually did end up landing a hell of a lot more than Kotelnik did and those punches were hard, effective, busted his face up and hurt him to the body as opposed to Kotelnik landing more, busting him up and being the effective fighter.Comment
