Floyd had trouble with some fights in his prime....Roy didn't except Montell Griffin....but he would have knocked him out in the first fight and came back to win a 1 round knockout against him....
do you really think Roy jones would have had problems with a Middleweight to light heavyweight Ricky Hatton?
imagine Castillo in roys weight class in his prime....it wouldn't have even been close

You say Floyd is still one of the top fighters in the world as if he's 100. He's 33 and at 33, Jones' athletic ability was nowhere near what it once was either yet he was still winning and ranked #1 pound for pound. Jones didn't lose until he was 35 and he fought twice a year. If Floyd is still going strong at that age then this argument could be made.

Second, it is true that Jones utilized his athletic ability to get away with things but so does Floyd. Yes, he's much more technical but as he gets on in age, you'll see him getting hit more as well. Jones, even moreso than Floyd, was virtually unhittable in his prime. Jones is more than a few places ahead of Floyd in the all-time rankings but Floyd is still going and will have a chance to surpass him and many more.

No he wasn't even close to the same skill level. Roy Jones the perfect athlethe. He could've been a worldclass anything that he'd ever want to do.

        Mayweather is the born boxer.

Learned boxing skill goes to Floyd, but Roy Jones was a phenom. His level of speed, reflexes and power were unreal.

I woudln't say Roy is, but what I woudl say is, Floyd has athletically gifted to do his ****.

He has long reach, great eyes and body and tall for 130-140, and ok at 147, but he fought no great 147's IMO, sicne Mosely was old and had a long lay off.

This is not even close, roy was a naturally more athletic than floyd and roy skill are as good as floyd but the big difference is roy was trying everything to win the fight inside the ring while floyd was trying everything to win the fight outside the ring.
