The question is will the additional 20 pounds be enough to absorb some of pac's power e.g.: mayweather vs marquez, marquez caught floyd with some good shot but the weight difference between the two was enormous that allowed floyd to withstand marquez shots (remember marquez was able to rock pacman before when they fought in the same weight.) If the fight is held at 150 lbs then marg could only go as far as 160-162 lbs on fight night and that is just a difference of 12-10 lbs instead of 20 lbs. makes sense for the smaller pacman who would just be at 150 lbs the most during fight night. anyway jr middleweight is form 147.1 lbs up to 154 lbs. 150 is just right in the middle. and both fighters will surely bring it on! cheers.
At last - someone on here who understands weight making! - But personally reckon Margarito (a big dehydrator) will be closer to 165 on the night, i.e. around 10% on the weigh in added on. Pac will fight at around 153 on the night...so either way; 12lbs difference :-) Pac will have a higher muscle % than Marg though, so this should be factored in too. Can't wait!

tell us something we don't know......margo is a shot fighter who will be drained and pac will be roided up as usual. anything less than a ko from the ***** named pacroid will prove how overrated he is.

Very good points, but I believe that Pacman will probably get the KO by the accumulation of punches because of his quick hands mixed with power and Margaritos lack of defense. His only defense is that he is known for a great chin, but i see him getting more hit in this fight than the Mosley fight.

Although I'm a Cotto fan and expressed myself against the catchweight and Cotto for accepting it, the truth is that you can't blame the boxer you request the catchweight, blame the boxer who accepts it. If there is a Catchweight at least Margarito is going for a title that's not currently his, Cotto put his title on the line accepting a catchweight. Now don't get me wrong, I Hate Catchweight too!!!
On the other hand the Plaster Man is well said!!!

But Pac has to make sure he dont take too many shots from Margarito. SSM did it ok so i expect Pac to do it better.
That's what I expect, Pacman going, in and out, after 3-5 combination shots, and staying away from the ropes. He will, at a certain moment during the fight, test Margarito's punch and from there decide how to continue the fight, similar to what he did with Cotto, whether go for the KO or **** him for a huge UD.
The difference is that Margarito is not known for his great punching power but for the amount of punches that he is capable of throwing and landing, that's were his KO's have come from, plus the cloud of doubt surrounding The Plaster, which might have gave him some extra power in the past but I don't think that none of these circumstance it will happen against Pacman.
