    What was....

the fight that made fall in love with this sport. For me it was Leonard vs. Hearns in 1981. That was the first fight I can remember. Then came the Tyson era a few years later. Thats what really did it for me.

I had a minor interest in boxing up until I was 11 years old. I'd occasionally watch fights with the old man. I'd watch Saad Muhammad, Larry Holmes, & especially Ray Leonard.

The fight that hooked me....watching Wilfred Benitez cold**** Maurice Hope.
It triggered something in me.....ruined my life.

Benn-Eubank in 1990. Mike Tyson first got me interested in the sport, but it was Benn-Eubank 1 that made me fall in love with the sport.

I never seen either one of those fights. I heard the Cruz fight was good. What do you think of Hatton?

Hatton's win over Tszyu ranks right up there with the upsets such as Pedroza-McGuigan, Curry-Honeyghan, McClellan-Benn and Eubank-Collins.

I keep trying to get a friend of mine to DL the fight for me. I would like to see it, I keep hearing how good it was.

That was a real good fight. About everytime I start falling away from the sport, I will se a fight like that and I am hooked again. Costillo and Correlas has to be one of the best fights ever.

The thing about Hatton is that he's not like alot of the fighters at the top of the game, he doesn't have the pure boxing skills of Winky or Floyd but he has an all out smothering pressure style as we all saw against Zoo. I said pre fight he would beat him and I back him to cause Floyd (if they ever fight) all sorts of problems. Hatton has a great work rate and unless you can knock him out (nobody has in 39 fights) then your probably going to loose. In short I think he's great - very under rated in America. I have to say also that Hatton wants to fight in America to become part of boxing history fighting at MGM and the garden but contrary to what the majority of Americans think on this site - he does not need America to make his way in the game because he that exciting - not many fighters like that. Pound for Pound I would say hes 4 or 5 right now.
