Comments Thread For: Cloud vs Johnson: The War 2010 Has Been Waiting For?

By Cliff Rold - It’s enough to have a fight worth looking forward to.

Regardless of its status as opening act for the HBO Boxing After Dark broadcast on Saturday, the first attempted defense of the IBF Light Heavyweight title by Tavoris Cloud (20-0, 18 KO) is as easy to look forward to as any fight so far in 2010. It might not have the buzz. It will not have the lead on the marquee.

It does have the ingredients for panting anticipation.

Veteran former titlist Glen Johnson (50-13-2, 34 KO) doesn’t waste much time moving backwards. Neither does Cloud. Put them together and it’s a guaranteed explosion once the bell rings. It’s a fight worth looking forward to and that’s enough. [Click Here To Read More]

Cloud is still verry unknown, but if he manages to stop Johnson he would make big noise!!! I think it will be a war! After that Cloud vs. Shumenov, would be also spectacular!!

Good point! if he can beat Johnson will gain alot of respect. Unfortunately I don't think he is ready for what Glen brings to the table just yet. I believe tonight the old lion will walk right through the young lion.

i think johnson will be feeling his age after the 7th/8th and cloud will just walk through him. johnson is the road warrior and has always given the fans quality fights but he has a style that doesn't age well and hes got alot of wear and tear.

but this should be a good fight and cloud will hopefully announce himself as a candidate for the pascal/dawson winner.

I was kinda impressed with Cloud after his win over Woods. Don't think he's good enough to stop Johnson though.
