now I don't think Soto is ducking ANYONE I respect the hell out of Soto so it would be unfair to say he is "DUCKING", I just think Arum wants to keep the title on someone he can make money off of, Soto is a draw in Mexico and in California , compared to Peterson who is not very well known, so from a BUSINESS standpoint I understand what Arum is doing even though I don't agree with it

Wel thats not what i really said either even though it came out that way in the way i wrote it.Obviously as a fan ive huge respect for Soto who is a proud kind of a guy who wouldnt just move away from a challenge and to be honest as you mentioned yourself hes promoted by Arum who is probably trying to give Humberto the easiest path to a big money fight with MAB and as usual Arum will make a pretty penny out of this sham fight that will be big in Mexico because off the fan bases involved

It didn't happen for the same reason the Peterson fight hasn't. Soto has a pretty good Mexican fan base at risk. They enticed Valero with a Pacquiao dream fight to get him to vacate quickly and move out of 140. Valero vacated his belt at 135 right after he beat his mandatory DeMarco and was rumored to fight L. Peterson...

Who the **** would vacate a title to move up to fight Lamont Peterson?

Top Rank was playing musical chairs with the titles and protecting Soto. He wanted to move up from 130 for a while, but had to wait until Valero was ready/convinced to move out.

Soto is one of the most overrated fighters in boxing right now though. He's ranked #4 by the Ring, but he's not top 5 at 135.
