just rewatched johnson-roy jones. roy jones was asleep, but the ref counted the full ten and gave him every opportunity to get up.
robert byrd f'd up. pirog most likely would have won anyway, but still, gotta give the full ten count unless it's obvious that the man needs urgent medical attention like hatton did.
with the way jacobs instantly collapsed from the punch and lay motionless, that is probably what it looked like to byrd.
