    or....

if Marvis Frazier had made it to the :40 second mark of rd. one....he may have worn Tyson down en route to a ninth rd. TKO.

I cant see Wlad surviving in this one, Peter may eat some jabs for a while but his power will be the difference.

I would expect a terrific KO from the Nigerian!

Oh, by the way Devil is still as bad a poster as we have at boxingscene, good morning devil!

It will be interesting to see how this unfolds.

Sam Peter has displayed great punching power and will have a punchers chance in the ring with anyone. Aside from that, he hasn't really fought anyone, he's inexperienced (24 fights), and hasn't proven to be more than average in any other boxing skill.

Wladimir Klitschko is probably the most talented offensive fighter in the division. Although, his ability to take a punch and his defensive technique is a question mark. Having said that, he very experienced (47 fights) being an Olympic gold medallist and the former WBO champion with several title defenses.

Sam peter is the one with options. If I understand the ranking system correctly, whether he fights Klitschko or Sanin Sam has equal benefits to him and will raise his standings in both divisions regardless. If Peter chooses to fight Sam (the path of least resistance) like I expect him to, Wladimir will not be asked to wait for him and he will fight someone else for the IBF #1 spot and Peter with a victory over Sam will still probably fall to #3 or #4 in the IBF.

If Wladimir Klitschko wants to be a champion, he has to take fights as if he is a champion. A victory over Peter would help quiet some of his critics, make him the #1 contender and the mandatory challenger for the winner of Byrd/Williamson. If Peter chooses to fight Klitschko, Wladimir should jump at it and I expect him to do just that.

peter dosn't appear to have the hand speed to trouble wlad, this could be a boxing lesson if wlad is at his best.

...Good analysis and I think your right about Peter choosing the Sinan Sam fight instead. They are talking like they would want Wlad but somehow I seriously doubt that they really do. Peter leaves himself wide open and Wlad would have target practice on his huge head. If Wlad avoids getting caught with a huge punch then Peter would be in serious trouble. We all know that Wlad has one punch power and we really don't know if Peter has a chin. We know his defense sucks for sure though. In the end I suspect this fight won't be made.

Vitali is far better than Wlad is. I can't see Wlad getting past Sam Peter. Someone said the only way Peter could win is if he caught him with a shot. Well, Wlad always gets caught with shots.

Vitali can beat Peter though, he has a much better defensive game and obviously a much stronger chin. Maybe if Sam gets a few fights in between, but right now there's no way he can compensate for Vitali's reach and strength.
