Freddie does it to himself. If that's how he really felt, Roach could have easily sidestepped the question without compromising his original view. A simple "I'm not Pacquiao's promoter, my job as a trainer is to train Pacquiao for whatever opponent they put in front of me" would of sufficed.

I agree, but the guy is a trainer who teaches how to box. He's not a rep for Top Rank and isn't trained on what to tell the media. That answer would have been perfect, but meh, he tries his best and its all we can ask. Its like Shane Mosley the guy can box his ass off, but he's quite possibly the worst interview in the history of boxing, as are most boxers really.

Roach should stick to being real. He is letting himself get ****** into all this BS and should simply continue to do what made him successful; hard work, respect, modesty and that aggressive offensive style. Basically shut the **** up and be a trainer.
