I know Atlas does, so I guess he doesn't need the money that badly since he just told Povetkin to turn down $2.5 million from Wlad.

or maybe atlas was sincere that he really doesn't think Povetkin is ready and he wants to do some more work with him.

I'm not going to hate on Povetkin or atlas cuz from I can see they've been honest about it.

That's the thing though, they weren't sincere. He has been holding the mandatory spot for over 2 years. I don't believe the injury now anymore. Then they went through the bid process and everything, wait weeks after the contract is sent to them, make excuses about a runny nose, and only after Wlad goes to IBF, does Atlas say something. Why did they waste everyone's time? You call that being sincere?

                for average fighters i suppose.

if you're dela hoya or mayweather who earns around 30-40 million a fight, no way in hell they would pay their trainers 3-4 million for that fight.

i think one of the stated reasons why floyd sr wasn't hired by dela hoya for the floyd jr fight was because sr was asking for too much money. dela hoya wouldn't budge.

Roger gets 10% from Floyd and almost all the top trainers get at least 10%. Roach gets over 10% from Manny.

A trainer might also get a flat fee for a fight or a flat fee.

Depends how generous the fighter is.

more than 10 percent if the fighter is humble.
