Floyd won't fight in the UK imo, he never fights anywhere except his back yard.

No point fighting again unless it's at 140, then it's viable but you know Floyd won't give up that advantage either.

    It's a non-starter.

No chance, hatton is delusional if he thinks he would do any better than last time, he would do worse and probably get hurt

Mayweather has been on record many times that he wants to fight in the UK because he feels the fans there appreciate boxing skills more than in the US. I think he had planned to rematch Ricky before Manny decapitated him in 2 rounds and put the kibosh on those plans. There was talk that after Rick retired, Floyd wanted to go forward with the UK plan and take on the younger Hatton, Matthew. But public pressure forced him to make believe he wanted to fight Pacquiao before 'retiring' again. Even Schaefer is on the record that the plan was to do a 'world tour' w/ Floyd fighting in different countries. He was going to fight Hatton at Wembley Stadium in the UK and then Saul Alvarez in Mexico.

From his post-fight interview after the Hatton fight:

Mayweather, who is 30, hinted that it might have been his last training camp and talked about retiring, the same way he did after winning the title from Carlos Baldomir in November 2006.

When asked about facing titleholder Miguel Cotto next, Mayweather said, "He's a hell of a champion, and there are great guys at 154 [pounds], but I have done everything I can do in the sport of boxing and I am not going to fight anybody. I accomplished a goal tonight because one of my dreams was to fight in the U.K., but I couldn't. So I had the best of the U.K. come to me."

              -ESPN
I wouldn't be at all surprised if the 'vacation' or 'retirement' ends with Floyd fleeing the country to do a bum of the month tour.

Mayweather in talks for Hatton rematch at Wembley
(AFP) – Mar 27, 2008 LOS ANGELES (AFP) — Undefeated World Boxing Council welterweight champion Floyd Mayweather is in talks to fight a rematch against England's Ricky Hatton next year at London's Wembley Stadium.

Richard Schaefer, chief executive of Golden Boy Promotions, said discussions have started to bring Mayweather to England next spring in a rematch of the American's 10th-round stoppage of Hatton last December in Las Vegas.

"It's very likely that Floyd will come over next spring," Schaefer said. "Floyd and his manager, Al Hayman, are very serious about it. He wants to show that he will repeat what happened the first time. That's his motivation.
"Floyd realises Hatton is the most beloved fighter in the world and for him to come over to Wembley Stadium is making history."

Hatton would love a chance to avenge the only loss of his career, one he partly blames referee Joe Cortez for by halting the bout.
Mayweather, 39-0 with 25 knockouts, could make 20 million dollars for a planned September rematch with Oscar de la Hoya. Mayweather's split decision triumph last May in Las Vegas was the biggest moneymaking fight of all time.

"The first fight was great and while Floyd would have to get past Oscar first, he knows that Ricky has talked about the referee," Schaefer said.
Hatton, 43-1 with 31 knockouts, next fights on May 24 against Juan Lazcano of Mexico at Manchester in a England stadium hometown bout for "The Hitman".

A Mayweather-Hatton rematch in the UK has been in the works for a few years now. Schaefer and GBP, Hatton and his lawyer, Mayweather and Ellerbe, have all been on record that they were discussing the fight. But of course if you showed them their own words on paper they'll tell you they were 'misquoted' or that talks never happened.

Don't be surprised if you see this fight go down next year.

I think it'll happen. Ricky wants it and it's an easy and well paid night's work for Floyd. If Ricky was in better shape I reckon Floyd might have tried to set it up this year.
