Okay, according the the judges scorecard if the judge would've scored the 12th round to B-Hop the fight would've been a draw. So, I ask you does that mean Jermain Taylor should be the NEW Middleweight champ? No. Niether should Bernard. People call me a Bernard nut-hugger but ever since the beginning I've said that neither of these guys should deserve the win.

That same judge gave Hopkins rd 2, the rd where Taylor almost knocked Nard out.

And in a million other people, Hopkins won. And in a million other peoples eyes, like mine, the fight was a draw. Honestly, I'm not saying that Hopkins won that fight because he didn't. You all assume that because I'm a huge fan of his I think he won, but he obviously DIDN'T win the fight. But I also feel like Jermain doesn't deserve those straps. I think it should've been ruled a draw and this rematch will finally shut all of us up. Unless it is another close fight that could be a draw.

ALMOST KNOCKED NARD OUT?!?! You have got to be kidding me! That is the most ignorant comment I have ever read on this forum. (Which I'm really glad to say I am apart of, starting yesterday.) B-Hop got hit and stumbled. The force of the hit made him stumble but he wasn't even close to getting KOed. Ridiculous post.

Hey, nard was a great champ, but his time has come and gone I think. It's time to give the kid some credit for doing what nobody has done in yrs!!! I jsut cant get over having read, for the past month, just how bad a beating poor taylor was gonna take, how he was going to get schooled, etc. and now that not only did all that NOT happen, but he got the win, and some just cant stand the thought of giving the guy some credit!! And to think so much of that is based on the post fight interview..where taylor said the SAME EXACT THINGS he always says!! I guess when he knocks peeps out, he doesnt really think he won then either??

When people pay Fifty ****in dollars for a ppv the last thing they wanna see is a draw when it clearly wasn't and that's the type of **** that gives boxing a blackeye. Also if you're saying Hopkins didn't win then obviously he lost because someone had to win the rounds and it sure wasn't him that was winning the rounds and if your trying to tell me that it was a draw from the opening bell then your crazy.

Nope, it was a draw at the end of the fight. First rounds, Jermain was the aggressor. (Judge scored fight for Taylor.) Last rounds, B-Hop landed more effective punches and had Jermain hurt. (Judge scored fight for Hopkins.) The third judge scored the 12th round for Taylor when Taylor CLEARLY lost the 12th round. (Draw.)

There were 36 scored rounds in the fight (12 rounds times 3 judges). I would agree that scoring the 12th round for Taylor wasn't a good decision, but how about using that same scrutiny for the other 35 rounds, which are all as important to the final outcome?

I have read these statistics on another site:

First 8 rounds - Hopkins averaged 19 punches per round, landing average 5 per round. Taylor averaged 38 punches per round, landing average 9 per round. Is it so hard to see why Taylor won? He worked twice as hard and landed twice as often. Bingo!

It's fair to say that no real damage was done in the first 8 rounds, and Taylor put a good beating on Taylor in the last 3 rounds for sure. But those were all 1 point rounds so Hopkins could not win.

Hopkins fought a bad fight, which can creep up on old fighters. He will be older in the rematch, and Taylor will train twice as hard and pace better for 12 rounds. I don't like Hopkins in the rematch.
