Heavyweights are different in that 100% of their body mass isn't pure strength and conditioning that is useful for fighting.

The heavyweights who weigh a lot (actually pretty much every heavyweight that isn't the Klitschkos, Haye or Adamek) are usually just extra fat to boost the number on the scales, which isn't particularly helpful in fighting.

Man please....Sergio just moved up from 154. Valuev outweighed haye by 100 pounds but there is no intermediate weight class for them to meet at.
