why is it that almost all cuban athletes are black but there are very few black people in cuba. I heard the cuban government forces black people to be athletes

It does seem that way, it also looks like all the white cubans are the ones with the $$$$. Miami's Carlos De Cuba has never (from what I've seen) had a white cuban fighter. So yes I see what saying.

I don't know what makes you think there are "very few black people in cuba" there are lots of blacks in cuba and even more with African decent. And no the government doesn't force anyone to be athletes.

There are several documentaries available about boxing in Cuba, you should watch them and you'll learn boxing is very popular in Cuba and most all communities have boxing programs where kids box which is taken very seriously, it's a sport of great pride.

maybe. I have a feeling part of the reason there are so many great Cuban fighters is actually because the way the country is.

there is a lot of black people in cuba matter of fact about 60% of the population is either full black or mixed with black

and no they are not forced to do anything they just happen to be the best athletes kind of like the nba
