I see Hops by stoppage, after decking Taylor. Hopkins doesn't need to adjust his game much in the rematch, he just needs to be slightly busier. And that's exactly what I meant to say ... slightly. Why on slightly? Well, first, we know that Taylor won't be any busier, since he fought the fight-of-his-life and showed Hops everything he's got. Second, Hopkins showed the "young bull" that he can be hurt by an old man, who should not be getting to him like that, and Taylor will be less willing to go full-pull early in case he runs of steam again.

Taylor was never hurt in that fight. Never. He was stunned momentarily, and kept his wits about him the entire time.

hops would win the rematch clearly imo probably by ko but taylor won the first clearly, at least 2 rounds in it

the only reason people say hopkins won was because he took the last 4 rounds easily but they forget he pretty much struck out in most of the first 8

I say Hopkins should have won or at least got a draw. HBO wants a new champ so they got one. Larry Merchant & company were clearly behind Taylor as instructed. Scoring was off just enough. $$$$$ money talks, Hopkins is old, Taylor is young, hmmm $$$$. Future promotions to compete with Showtime????? Bingo. Hopkins will have to win undeniably to really win. That's been his life story anyways. The rematch will be interesting. I can't wait.
