Giving Julio Cesar Gonzales a Boxing Lesson. He did beat the guy that everyone believed was Roy's biggest comp at the time.
How come RJJ doesn't get credit for?

When you're a great fighter like RJJ or Mayweather people tend to put you on a different standard, they would not give you any credit for any win and excuses would be throw out which actually shows how great you are.
Before i joined boxing forums all i hear from the boxing media who perceive RJJ has been arrogant was "RJJ wouldnt fight any competition" but then you look around and wonder who those competitions were that RJJ didnt fight.. -
When people see an opponent that should have been a threat got outclassed, people will say he is a bum, overrated, etc. etc..Comment

Roy fought his share of poor comp (Glen Kelly, Richard Hall) but Julio Cesar Gonzalez was a good fighter....Jones beat decent comp but the light heavyweight division in the early 00's was poor....but Montell Griffin, Antonio Tarver, Clinton Woods, Reggie Johnson...were all very good wins for Roy.Comment

His competition was so legit before he fought them, that when he beat them so bad and embarrassed them, it made them look like bums and their careers never really could recover from it.Comment

Just when people post good Roy wins they never put this up, Its like what if Clottey beat Pacquaio, then floyd went on to embarrass Clottey that would be a big win for himComment

most people give him credit, but lets not go overboard. It wasnt in reality that big of a win, espeically considering he lost to every quality fighter he went up against in the future.
I dont consider the win any better than his win over Eric Harding(which is actually an overlooked win for Roy)
people like to play the 'great fighters dont get the credit they deserve! wah wah' card a lot, but it doesnt apply here.
Richard Hall actualyl wasnt that bad a fighter. Far above the likes of Glen Kelly, at least.Roy fought his share of poor comp (Glen Kelly, Richard Hall)
overlooked, good wins Roy had:
Reggie Johnson
Eric Harding
Tony Thorton
Lou De Valle
Merqui Sosa
Virgil HillComment
