    doubters

for anyone doubting if this guy is ready...he's 30 years old. Pirog doesn't need to wait his time is now and he should take the best available fights. I think he has a legitimate shot against any of the top contenders and I'd probably make him and Pavlik an even fight right now. He only has 17 fights, but it's better to have 17 fights against decent opposition than 27 fights and with ten of those wins against complete stiffs. That's why Jacobs probably wasn't ready. He fought absolutely no-one and got a title shot and then HBO tries to act like it was such an upset. Jcabs hadn't accomplished anything yet, and still has a bright future, but his best opponent prior was Ishe Smith.

The place Kelly would take Pirog to would be stardom. I am uncertain as to what really happened to Pavlik but he is not the same fighter who beat Taylor with a marvelous performance that made him a star. Dimitry by TKO (probable cuts) in eight stanzas.

Pirog is good enough where he can face Martinez or Paul Williams. Pavlik ain't fuckin' with Pirog, people need to get off this Pavlik ****. I swear, what a waste of time.

Pavlik didn't have a nutritionist to help make weight so they hired one recently to help.

I think Pavlik takes this. He can take Pirogs punches I'm sure and Pirog gets hit way to much. It'll be a battle of who can take the better punches.

I don't like Pavlik as a fighter but he'd KO Pirog right now. Pirog would mos def go into some deep waters, it won't be easy.

                    Hopkins happened.

He still has a piece of Kelly's soul.

I see your point, but this has nothing to do with age.

Experience is the key to most things in life, and boxing is a learning curve.

Pavlik has been in big fights, and won them..... Pirog has not, yet.

And I could see Kelly coming in really well prepared, super hungry, and ready to take this kid into deep waters.

Even though he looks great, it really would be a baptism of fire for Pirog.

Pavlik aint gonna be intimidated or over-awed like Jacobs, and he will not have the same problems keeping Pirog off him, or taking his punches.

The interesting thing for me will be how Pirog adjusts to Pavlik's power.

He will not be able to slip into his game so easily against Kelly.

This could be a real good fight.

I'd love to be proven wrong here, but I can't help thinking that it could be a little too early for Pirog to be lookin for Pavlik.

But, if his team think he's ready, then let's go, I'm all for it.
