Kids got mad skills and I respect that for sure, but it's just such a giant leap in weight and he wouldn't be facing some Gatti level fighter here. He'd be facing a modern defensive genius with a long reach, excellent jab, and efficient come forward style. Winky likes to walk his opponents down and jab them to death with the right hand and follows with accurate lefts. Floyd wouldn't just be able to sit outside and pot shot Wright all night because Wrights not a sit back and counterpunch kind of fighter.

Anyway you slice it I'd be very interested to see them fight.

Also remember this, Wright isnt the most elite in his division but of ALL BOXING..

His p4p #2 so Floyd beating him is 10 times better than beating Cotto..

Eventually talent can only carry you so far. look in the past and look at great names who moved up too far. I say anything above 147 is fools gold for mayweather not only will he lose all of his speed and power (the little that he has) but he will be in there with guys who naturally outweigh him by a lot. Even if he is better these guys will have so much reach and strenght over him, he will not be able to hurt them and that in itself will spell the end for mayweather. it would be amazing tosee him accomplish such things but not possible unless he hand picks opponents carefully and winky is not the one to pick.

Why doesnt Mayweather just try to take Hattons belt first? If he beats Hatton he will be king of the division then he can move up. Another thing, why is Winky waiting so long to fight? He fought back in early May or late april. I hate when people wait six months to fight.
