i like cotto & cant stand berto....

but berto beats this without doubt damaged good version of cotto. did not like how cotto looked vs light hitting forman who tagged cotto with a couple of good clean right hands that landed flush & momentarily stunned cotto.

    berto would tko cotto now.

Cotto was "stunned" maybe from the first one, and that was only because he put his hands down and simply got lazy. The right hand that followed that one Cotto didn't even more, watch it again. I'll give you that the first one had some mustard on it and it certainly put Cotto into "I better take ole boy serious" mode, but Cotto was never in any danger especially not the second one. And really... if the best you can say is "Formean landed a couple of good clean right hnds" is your defense for picking Berto that isn't much to stand on. Cotto lost one round to Foreman, a champion in a new weight class... If losing one round in a fight is call for concern then Mayweather did the right thing in ducking Manny, again.

Cotto, Cotto has a good jab to control the pace and Berto has a ****ty defense. Berto has decent hand speed that is about it.

Cotto by TKO in the championship rounds. As someone already said, Berto doesn't have the constant speed Pacquiao does, and Cotto would be able to control him with is jab and hurt Berto to the body.

It would be a good fight though.

Lol..I dont see either happening. Cotto got beat down by margarito, he struggle with CLottey a guy many say beat him, and everyone knows Clottey aint nothing. He got beat down by Pac and frankly he didnt impress me fighting Foreman. Cotto just isnt the same and Berto will expose Cotto once again. The speed is too much for him...Speed kills and Cotto will be a sitting duck..

Berto will stop cotto in the 8th round..

speed kills if u have overall speed. berto has flashy hands and they're sporadic at best.
what about his foot speed and movement?
he'd be a sitting duck for cotto who has the much better boxing skill, technique and power.

Handspeed??That's what people say Cotto can't handle, seriously??What about Mosley & Judah??Berto easy to hit, horrible defense, not good stamina, protected heavily by hbo!!Cotto's jab & experience is enough to beat Berto, but just in case,he still has power & 1 of boxing's best trainers!!
