October 1st rematch won't happen! Taylor's stitches and concussion!

Apparently an OCT1st rematch will not happen because of the 15 stitches in Taylor's had. Plus it seems he has a concussion.

So it may not even be until sometime next year. By that time the drive for a rematch may die off between the fighters which I hope not.

I am still not convinced that Taylor dominates the division. I feel Hopkins would win the rematch to become a 2 Time Undisputed MW Champ, retire, vacate the belts, then a tourney should happen. The best MW should win.

NO!!! NO TOURNEY!!! if theres one thing boxing DOESNT need, its another division with a billion belts and no single champion. the only undisputed champions are zab judah and jermain taylor. the only unified champs we have are:
    jean-marc mormeck (cruiser)
    diego corrales (light)
    and juan manuel marquez (feather)

maybe MAB will be the super-feather unified champ after he beats penden.

but we dont need another divided division.

Fight could have gone both ways easily...

      But...

If Taylor had a concussion and he had never gone 12 with anyone even close to the level of Hopkins does anyone think he deserves some credit for gutting it out against a guy who had him figured out...

I can only imagine Jermain improving upon this effort, everyone expects Hopkins to improve upon his performance as well so it looks like we will have an even better fight when they meet again.

If Hopkins won the rematch and retired.. we would have a similar situation like the heavyweight division. There should be a rematch but if it doesnt happen it could better for boxing in the long run.

              hmm

Taylor got a concussion and a huge cut in his head and still beat Bernard. Without Bernard's dirty tactics the fight would not have been as close.

Most of the people do not think Taylor lost. Just the opposite. Read the polls. In every poll Taylor beats Bernard.

This was on some Jirov/Mesi ****. How big was the gash on Taylors head?

I find it funny when one fighter technically beats another fighter on points but actually takes the physical ass whooping.

Why don't they reschedule for November or December?

As I said before "Mark my words Taylor will win the fight by a close decision" .... And he did (in judges eyes of course)

                  Now I say this:
"Mark my words, there won't be a rematch"

Time works against B-Hop.. and they will just stretch this far enough for Nard to go into retirement, or probably fight someone in the middle and go out with a "W"
