[154lbs.] Shane Mosley vs. Sergio Martinez

Martinez does hold his hands low and engages a bunch but he adjusts pretty well to what the other guy does. I think it would be a good fight but my money is on Martinez.....I could be wrong and I'd eat my words if Mosley whooped him too.I agree that Mosley is a wide puncher, I just think people are overrating Martinez's defense. He looked a million bucks against Pavlik, who was always slow, but also re-hydrated about 18 lbs.
Mosley only gets discouraged if he has a hard time hitting his opponent, or if his opponent is awkward, like Mayorga. Martinez is quick, slick, and throws straight punches, but he loves in engage. Williams had no trouble tagging Martinez for most of that fight.
People need to quit comparing Martinez to Mayweather. Martinez is actually a lot more similar to the slick southpaw Collazo than Mayweather. Maybe I am just a Mosley nuthugger myself, lol.Comment

Likewise if Martinez beats Mosley. Unfortunately, I have a hard time seeing this fight materialize. I hope I am wrong. Mora could be the spoiler.Comment

You people are crazy if you think Mosley would stand a chance in this fight. Too old, skills too deteriorated, and 154 too big. Martinez could dance around him quite easily like he did Pavlik, and his handspeed would leave Mosley helpless.Comment

Martinez by decision in a great and close fight.
I think Mosley gets seriously underrated after the Mayweather-fight all of a sudden.
Some boxers age faster than others, and Mosley is still elite at 38 (39 in a month).Comment
